Bareilly Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in Gopalpur, Bhojipura, Bareilly, with students and teachers paying tribute to former President and eminent educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
During the programme, teacher Tej Pratap Singh, Principal Man Singh and students highlighted Dr Radhakrishnan’s life, personality and significant contribution to the field of education. Speakers described his ideas as an enduring source of inspiration for students and emphasised the importance of education in shaping individuals and society.
Students expressed their respect and gratitude towards their teachers on the occasion. The speakers also underlined the vital role played by teachers in the overall development of students, noting that educators serve not only as teachers but also as guides and mentors who help shape the future of young people.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare Asim Arun extended Teachers’ Day greetings and said education is the foundation for the development of both individuals and society.
“Teachers play an important role in building the future of students. The state government is continuously working to provide quality education, a better academic environment and necessary facilities to students in Sarvodaya schools,” he said.
Principal Man Singh, other teachers and students were present at the programme.
